No big news

They started taping & texturing yesterday and while that's going on (which could take up to two weeks), we are going to tackle the outside. The goal is to get the new side gate it, and move the trellis that was out front to the back, where the Hibiscus was. Well, the Hibiscus is still there for the moment, but alas, it is going away. It is very old and has not been doing well the past few years. While the yard is destroyed, we are going to have it removed. The trellis that was in front (the one with the Bouganvilla on it) will be combined with some old pieces of the side gate & reconfigured to be a "new" trellis in the very back yard. We'll plant some kind of vine on it, not sure what yet. This will still give us privacy in the back yard, and allows a little more room for the hot tub to scoot back.

Jeff has been busy working on plans for the yard and what he's come up with is really cool! No plant diagrams yet - just the hard-scaping.

Thanks to those of you who have given feedback on the paint colors. We ruled out three of them, and the builder is going to show us a couple of other colors he likes. We hope to be able to pick a color soon. The Cor-Ten is at the house, and while it's not rusted yet, it should help us visualize what color we need.

It's a 3-day weekend, yeah! We have some friends coming up from down south, and other than surfing & hanging out, no big plans. I kinda like that :) Have a good one.
