More signs of Spring - or the lack of winter

I don't know when these normally bloom, but on my travels around campus yesterday, I came across this Magnolia (or similar) blooming. Granted, it was 74 outside so it certainly seemed like Spring. I can't help but wonder how many plants are going to be out of sync this year because of the weather?

Speaking of the weather: it's staying in the 70's until late next week when I guess we have a 20 percent chance of rain. We need it, but those aren't great odds!

Glad it's Friday, going to do some wine tasting and have a picnic tomorrow :)
