No, the house wasn't on fire. Because of the high winds, the county had a number of power problems yesterday. One of them took place on the next street over. The lines on a pole shorted out somehow, and the top three feet of the pole just broke off. Our power went out around 10:30 AM, and didn't come back on until about 6:30. It really didn't impact us much as we were gone most of the day. The only major inconvenience was having to run up to the market to buy some cold beer around 5:00. We didn't want to open the fridge, so had to make an emergency run. Otherwise, we survived just fine :)

What a guy won't do for a beer! Well, you wouldn't open the fridge.... but you would get in your car, drive to the store, spend money....Ahhhhh:>
Hope the wind has dried down. We are having our late May -early June swoon. It's 58 degrees and cloudy - rained last night.
Love it!
