This is not our new back yard. Steph & Greg are in town, so we took a day off. I had always wanted to hike out onto San Simeon Point and this is the view going out. The views on the hike are absolutely amazing. The sun was shining, it was warm, we saw a Cormorant rookery, I could go on. This is just a photo from my cell phone, so it doesn't do it justice, but the next time you visit, you can expect a hike here. It's beautiful.
In house news: the guest bath is almost done. Now that the limestone is on the floor & the glass tile is in, I'm liking it. It does look different than I anticipated, but I think it's looking really cool. The cabinet guy was here working on the kitchen. He's got almost all the trim in, and the microwave is installed. The range hood is in (he didn't do it) but it's not quite right.
The electricians have been busy and most of the can lights & other fixtures are in, as are the plugs & outlets. We got to turn on some of the lights yesterday - amazing! The hot tub is hooked up & we can get it cleaned and filled. Actually, until the gate is done, we won't do that.
All in all, things are moving along. I don't think we'll hit next weekend (the 11th) but we are sure getting close. Today is our last day back in this house, then it's off to our neighbors for a week.
